Nine years ago this month I started this blog. I thought I’d write a year’s worth of posts and see where it went. So here I am nine years later with over a hundred posts and hundreds of loyal readers! Who knew? Ten years ago, I was a 10-year breast cancer survivor. This year, I hit the 19-year milestone! I’m feeling so blessed!
I’ve tried to cover a variety of topics over the years, as healthy living encompasses so many facets and areas of our lives. It’s food, personal care, our inner physical and outer environments, a technical world with more choices than ever and trying to live healthy- physically, mentally, spiritually. We all know, it takes a village and in this post I want to thank my village, the people who have helped me every step of the the way.
In 2012 I had a vision, followed by focus groups with Leslie, Rachel, Beccy, Flossie and Pat. Kids and grandkids even supported with outreach and photos. Andy Schmidt helped me launch this baby in September of 2014. Three years ago, my wonderful husband, Mike, took over in the technical production of each and every post. Each post requires hours of research to back up my personal experiences with the topic du jour, including sources and photos. (Many of my own J ) Mike takes it from there and brings it to newsletter and website fruition.
You, my readers, have given me such beautiful feedback over the years with good questions and such kind comments. I cannot express my gratitude. There is such so information out there, and that you all take the time to read what I have to say warms my heart. I try not to inundate you, but to speak to what I believe are truly important issues and how they’ve impacted my health. It’s so rewarding to share with you all and hear what you all have to say.
As part of this 9 year celebration, I want to thank this amazing group of guest bloggers, friends and healers who brought even more depth to this site with their gifts:
